ENABLING SECURE AND PERSONALIZED ACCESS CONTROL
Ensuring medical devices function correctly is critical, and specialized service software is essential for maintenance. However, to prevent misuse, access to this software must be restricted to trained personnel only.
Currently, internal and external service engineer receive a unique key for each device, which they enter manually into the service application on the medical device. This grants them the necessary permissions.
We’re looking for an innovative solution that can securely unlock special functions on medical device service applications.
The key requirements are:
- Revocable access: Permissions should be able to be revoked when no longer needed.
- Person-centric: Ideally, access should be tied to an individual, not just a device or a generic key.
- Device related: Permission should be retractable to specific devices
- Offline functionality: The solution must work without an active internet connection on the medical device itself.
- Remote capable: Service technicians require the ability to log in and perform service remotely.
Limitations:
This access also needs to function locally, and offline, as medical devices aren’t always connected to the internet.
