The hackathon is free of charge for our hackers, mentors, and sponsors. Catering will be provided. Hacker teams have the opportunity to win a prize. For more information, please see below.

The Healthcare Hackathon Bayern — Erlangen will take place at Innovation Center Erlangen (Henkestraße 127 in 91052 Erlangen).
The main program of the Healthcare Hackathon Bayern — Erlangen as well as the pitches of your developed solutions will be in English.
Participation is on a “one team” basis. Ideally, a team should include designers, developers, and people with medical or healthcare-specific expertise.

Once again, many thanks to all our partners for enabling the Healthcare Hackathon Bayern in Erlangen as well as these prizes. And, of course, we offer mentoring as well as follow-up support and funding – let’s revolutionize the healthcare sector with your ideas together!
The dominant language will be English, as the hackathon is open to everyone and aims to be accessible to as many hackers as possible. Of course, you can also exchange ideas in other languages. However, the pitches of your developed solutions must be in English.
Ideally, your team should include designers, developers and people with medical or healthcare-specific expertise. However, this is not a mandatory requirement for participation in the hackathon.
Participation in the hackathon is on a “one team” basis, i.e. hackers can only work in one team and cannot be members of several teams.
If necessary for the successful completion of the challenge, we reserve the right to expand or reduce the size of the teams before the hackathon begins.
Please bring a laptop, charger, and adapter to the event. All other materials will be provided.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to stay overnight at the event location. If you have a long journey, we will be happy to help you find suitable accommodation. Costs for an overnight stay in Erlangen must be borne by the participants themselves.
Catering is provided on all days of the event. You can expect a varied buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks and drinks for free (all-inclusive). Of course, we also offer a choice of vegan/vegetarian dishes. If you suffer from certain food intolerances, please let the organizer know in good time so that the catering can be adjusted accordingly.

For travel directions please read below.
Take the A73 northbound towards Bamberg. Exit at Erlangen-Zentrum and follow signs towards Stadtmitte. Continue straight onto Henkestraße. The event’s location is at Henkestraße 127, on the left side. (Visitor parking isn’t available; please use nearby public parking options.)
Take an S-Bahn (S1) or RE (Regional Express) train towards Bamberg. The ride to Erlangen takes about 20 – 25 minutes.
The event location is located approximately 1.5 km (15 – 20 minutes walking distance) from the station. Alternatively, take Bus 295 or 293 (direction: Sebaldussiedlung or Erlangen Arcaden) from the central station and get off at Technologiezentrum or Henkestraße. The event location is just a short walk from either stop.
